Call of Duty has long had one of the fastest average time-to-kills (TTK) in the shooter genre and it appears Warzone 2.0 is no different.

As such, if your settings are off, it can be pretty tough to not only clutch 1v1 gunfights, but pick up the easy trades that you're supposed to as well. Here's a breakdown of the best aim settings to use in Warzone 2.

Of course, it's important to note that Call of Duty has seen a significant rise in mouse and keyboard players over the years, especially in Warzone. However, since aiming with a mouse is pretty straightforward with it being all up to one's sensitivity, DPI, mousepad space, and actual mouse itself, this list will focus on what in-game settings the average controller player can change. Just be sure if you are using M&K, to turn off any settings that have to do with mouse acceleration, filtering, and smoothing so that your aim can feel more consistent the more you play.

As longtime COD players are probably well aware, the series has long had one of the strongest aim assist systems in the shooter genre for those on controller, so long as you had the right settings of course.

Early on in the Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 era, since the games run on the same engine, the general consensus does appear to be that players should use the "Default" Aim Assist Type and the "Dynamic" Aim Response Curve Type. This combination ensures that you are able to get the two types of aim assist that can be given to controller players, as well as snap a lot harder on your opponents.

Aside from those two main settings, the rest of the aim settings have to do with the usual principles. Turning the vibration off is generally recommended as it allows you to better stay on target while getting shot. Meanwhile, make sure your deadzones and horizontal and vertical sensitivities are tailored to your own personal preferences.
