Can you play Evil Dead: The Game solo?
Spearheaded by the efforts of Saber Interactive, Evil Dead: The Game invites players to immerse themselves in the world of the iconic Evil Dead franchise in asymmetric, survival horror fashion. For those simply looking to play the game by themselves, here's a breakdown of whether or not you can play solo in Evil Dead: The Game.
Although Evil Dead: The Game's signature experience revolves around four players cooperating as a team to defeat the Kandarian Demon controlled by another player, there is indeed a pair of solo experiences.
One is Play Solo (vs. AI), where players can play with an AI-controlled team of Survivors against an AI-controlled demon.
The other mode is Missions, which are straightforward, short side experiences that take players through the world of Evil Dead: The Game, allowing them to relive memorable moments from the movies, learn more about gameplay mechanics and most importantly, unlock characters, outfits and lore sound tapes.
At the time of publication, it does not appear that it's possible to play as the Kandarian Demon against an AI-controlled team of Survivors, unfortunately.
Be sure to keep in mind as well that online access is indeed required to play Evil Dead: The Game even in the single-player modes.
Additionally, there is no local co-op in Evil Dead: The Game.
Evil Dead: The Game is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PS5 and PC (via Epic Games Store).
