The fifth and currently last mission of Evil Dead: The Game, called Homecoming King will be harder than some of the previous missions you've encountered. Are you ready to take down Evil Ash and beat the game? If not, here's some information to help you out.
Evil Dead Mission 5 Walkthrough
Loot Up
You will spawn in front of a couple of houses. Loot them and make sure you end up finding the crossbow, ammo, and shovel. There are two amulets to be found by searching the two houses, in addition to a Shemp's Cola.
The Kandarian Dagger
Grab the vehicle outside the second house and take it to the objective marker. Deadites will begin spawning in and will not really stop. Take enough out until you have a break in the action to grab the dagger and get out of there. A rare spear will drop from one of the enemies here but the shovel you grabbed is already better given the high armor of enemies in this stage.
The Necronomicon
Next, take your vehicle to the objective marker on the map. Inside the building you should find a rare axe on the ground that can replace the shovel. Once you grab the Necronomicon, eight Deadites will spawn and you'll have to kill them all to progress. Use your axe and shovel to get some space and then try to take out the Deadites with crossbow headshots.
Evil Ash Phase One
Once you have both the Necronomicon and the Kandarian Dagger, make your way to the sewage plant. Loot the Legendary crossbow and ammo then head to the rift of space and time. In this first phase you will simply need to survive for a minute. Ash can grab you and drain your health, so if you lure enemies into the enclosed area and use your finisher on them, Ash will not be able to grab you.
Finding Lord Arthurâs Fabled Sword
Lord Arthurâs Fabled Sword is your only hope of taking down Evil Ash. Grab a car and head to Payne Manor. Once there, kill all Deadites with a red glow. If you cannot find them all, your map should show you where they are. Drive to the next checkpoint to avoid having to fight a bunch of Deadites and waster precious consumables before the final fight. Once there, grab Lord Arthurâs Fabled Sword head through the portal. The final obstacle before fighting Evil Ash for real will be to kill a Fighting Pit Deadite. Here, try to avoid as much damage as possible by running away to create space to shoot it.
The Final Battle
Time to fight! You will not be able to avoid damage during the full final fight, which is why avoiding unnecessary damage earlier was so important. The best way to take down Ash is to focus on using heavy melee attacks and ranged headshots. If you can effectively connect on those all while managing your health, you'll beat Ash and the campaign of Evil Dead: The Game!
