As the Halloween season comes to a close, Warzone fans discovered a secret sniper loadout that is OP in The Haunting event.
Call of Duty: Warzone's The Haunting has dominated the Battle Royale in the final weeks of October. Al Mazrah and Vondel transformed into spooky landscapes with zombies, NPC bosses, and jump scares. Although the event does not compare to The Haunting of Verdansk, it still offers fun LTMs and plenty of free rewards, like the Ghoulie Camo.
Recent Warzone patch notes also delivered new weapon buffs and nerfs that uprooted the meta for The Haunting. As players test out different loadouts, an underrated sniper emerged as the best weapon for the nighttime Halloween maps.

Although the Schlager Night View Optic was his original pick for dominating The Haunting, he quickly realized the SZ Heatsource 800 is "a cheat code" for spotting enemies in the dark. In fact, in his latest YouTube video, he shows that you can even see opponents through a smoke in the pitch black.
"That was a fun sniper to use," he says after securing the win. "I haven't used the MCPR in about six months."

The DMR might not top the meta anytime soon, but it has solid damage and accuracy that makes securing long-range kills fairly easy.
