Wondering whether or not PGA Tour 2K23 has cross-platform play? We've got you covered.
Now that the first game released in the simulation golf series since August 2020 has officially arrived, it's perhaps no surprise that many are wondering whether or not the game will incorporate some features never seen before in the franchise. As such, here's a breakdown of whether or not PGA Tour 2K23 has crossplay.
Is PGA Tour 2K23 Cross-Platform?
Unfortunately, PGA Tour 2K23 does not feature crossplay or cross-platform support for its online modes.
Although the game is set to offer a host of online modes, such as Divot Derby, Online Society and Scramble, it does not appear that cross-platform support will be a part of its post-launch additions.
Considering that cross-platform play is supported in other popular sports video game franchises like FIFA and MLB The Show, it's easy to understand why many in the PGA Tour 2K community are calling for the feature to be added. Crossplay would let players play with friends on different platforms, as well as help out with queue times across the board.
Ultimately, the absence of crossplay in PGA Tour 2K23 is not too surprising considering 2K's other recently released sports titles, WWE 2K22 and NBA 2K23, don't have it either.
Per the official PGA Tour 2K23 FAQs page, the game does feature cross-progression and shared VC wallets for the Xbox and PlayStation console families (PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, and Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S). However, DLC items won’t carry over from one generation to another.
PGA Tour 2K23 is available now for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam).
