It appears it's finally time to stop using Heartbeat Sensors in Warzone.

Call of Duty content creator JGOD recently posted a video on his YouTube channel revealing what he thinks are the best Perks and Equipment to use at the moment in Warzone Season 3, and amid the rundown, explained just why Heartbeat Sensors may not be all that great anymore.

Analyzing data from WZ Ranked, the Warzone loadout mastermind pointed out how the mediocre K/D and Win stats of the Heartbeat Sensor simply do not justify its extremely popular pick rate at this point in the meta.

"If you're relying on your Heartbeat Sensor too much," JGOD said in the video, "especially after the nerfs, you're kind of in a bad spot."

As JGOD alluded to, the Heartbeat Sensor has been toned down by Raven Software in recent months, including in Season 1 where its time between pulses was raised from three seconds to six.

While Raven's goal of providing players with a range of viable Tactical Equipment to choose from has improved a bit, with players having gravitated more towards Stims in the Caldera era, JGOD also took the time to highlight which underrated option should be getting more love from the community.

At the start of Season 1 as well, the Snapshot Grenade quietly received a buff where its detection radius was increased to 28 meters, up from 14 meters.

Flash forward to Season 3, and JGOD pointed out how using Snapshots statistically leads to the most wins out of all the Tactical Equipment options.

He then went on to explain how this was due to there being no counter for Snapshots. Despite the Perk Battle Hardened saying explicitly in-game that it's supposed to make players "immune to Snapshot Grenades," JGOD showed how this, intended or not, is not the case at all.

After throwing a Snapshot, anyone caught in its radius of 28 meters horizontally (it works infinitely vertically) will be spotted in red for about two seconds in real-time, even through objects.

"If you were using the Heartbeat Sensor," JGOD said, "you need to 100% pretty much switch away and go to Snapshot Grenades and try to find a way to get Restock into the loadout."

Lastly, JGOD explained how things can become really "broken" with Snapshots once Restock is factored into the equation because if you're playing something other than solos, you and your teammates running the setup can alternate throws, enabling you to scan for nearby enemies almost all the time.

"If you’re in duos," JGOD said, "you’re going to be able to throw one every 12 seconds. In trios, you’re going to be able to do this every eight seconds. You can just walk around the map and constantly throw these."
