Overwatch DPS Tier List: June 2022

Here are our picks for the best and worst DPS heroes in Overwatch this June 2022.

DPS heroes are essential to have in your team as they can have a high amount of damage caused to the enemy team. Here is a tier list to help you decide what DPS hero is the most effective for your next Overwatch game.

Overwatch DPS Tier List: June 2022

S-Tier

  • McCree
  • Soldier: 76

Although McCree's stun grenade was replaced with the magnetic grenade, it is still effective against other heroes due to its capability of dealing up to 100 damage in less than two seconds. McCree can take out targets with his revolver and dodge danger with his speed.

Just like McCree, Soldier: 76 can sprint and escape from danger and his powerful self-heal. Soldier: 76's biggest strength is the damage he can cause with his standard weapon, the assault rifle.

A-Tier

  • Reaper
  • Echo
  • Ashe

Reaper's damage against other players is good due to his ability to spam his shotguns. The shotgun spamming allows him to flank and get behind enemies for a surprise attack. His ability to become a ghost, causing him to be immune to damage, makes him a solid character to play.

Echo is a mobile player with as a high damaging DPS hero with various weapons. Echo's role allows her to adapt quickly and fulfills different battle positions.

Ashe's dynamite cause damage, it depends on how often you can land your shots. Ashe's rifle can quickly fire a high damaging shot, and she can even ask for assistance from her ally Bob!

B-Tier

  • Genji
  • Widowmaker
  • Hanzo
  • Mei

To get the most out of Genji, it can be beneficial to know the map to create the sneakiest attacks. Genji has precise Shuriken at the enemies, and he uses his Katana to projectile or sends a strike towards the opponents.

Widowmaker can charge a headshot against the opponents, making her a strong pick for your team. She is an excellent pick for larger maps! Her abilities, such as her poisonous gas, sniper rifle, and visor, allow her to eliminate her targets.

Hanzo's ultimate can wipe out the entire team, he falls short with the inability to fight against heroes with faster mobility. His utility is handy for the team, such as arrows that reveal enemies or strike targets. He can even scale walls with his bow from high ground and summon a spirit dragon across the map.

Mei has less potential to control the enemies. Mei is helpful whenever you need to slow down your opponents and protect specific locations from being taken over. Her Cryo-Freeze ability allows her to protect herself from counterattacks or to wall the enemies away.

C-Tier

  • Tracer
  • Doomfist
  • Junkrat
  • Pharah

If you plan on using Tracer, it is essential to know that she can be challenging to play due to the ability to be wiped out with a blink of an eye. Her utility, such as the twin pistols, time bombs, and fire banter, can help fight the backline.

Doomfist is perfect if you want to knock down snipers and aerial heroes. Keep in mind that he is a close-range character with his spectacular mobility.

If you choose Junkrat, make sure to stay away from close-range maps. Although his traps are nerfed, he still has his Frag Launcher that bounces grenades, his Concussion Mine, and Steel Traps.

Pharah has aerial mobility, which allows her to do damage output with the help of a loyal healer. With her ability to send explosive rockets, Pharah is a strong player, unless she has to face a hitscan DPS hero like Soldier: 76.
