Pokémon Announces New Chronicles to Debut at World Championships

The Pokémon Company announced today that a new content series, Pokemon: The Arceus Chronicles, will debut on Aug. 19 at the Pokémon World Championships in London. The series will then be released after the festivities, on Netflix for the entire world to see.

The series concerns Ash, Pikachu, and friends as they journey to the land of Sinnoh, coming to the aide of legendary Pokémon Arceus. Apparently, the familiar heroes meet up with goated Pewter City Trainer and Pokemon O.G. Brock on their mission to stamp out what's left of Team Galactic.

At first glance, this newest installment in Pokémon lore looks to bridge the gap from old-school Pokémon cartoons to more recent gaming installments such as Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which was released on Nintendo Switch in January 2022.

Pokémon Worlds London 2022

Besides being an awesome opportunity to view new Pokémon content before anyone else in the world, The Pokémon World Championship celebrates the highest achievers in Pokémon gaming. Pokémon Trainers from around the world will meet in London from August 18 to 21, going head to head it what are sure to be very heated competitions.

Trainers will meet to compete for badges, cash prizes, and above all glory across a variety of different categories. Competitions will be held for The Pokémon Trading Card Game (yes they still play this), Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon GO, Pokken Tournament, and of course Pokémon UNITE.
