Pokémon GO Arlo March 2023: How to Beat

You can find some guidance on how to approach each of Arlo's Pokémon here, with potential move sets to bring on the recommended Pokémon to ensure victory against him.

First Pokémon: Shadow Nidoran

Shadow Nidoran is a stronger version of the Generation I Poison-type Pokémon, and can definitely pack a punch if players aren't prepared to fight it. Being a Poiso-type, a Psychic- or Ground-type Pokémon would be the best bet to take care of it. Here are three Pokémon that can adequately handle Shadow Nidoran:

  • Alakazam - Psycho Cut and Psychic
  • Garchomp - Mud Shot and Earth Power
  • Espeon - Zen Headbutt and Psychic

Second Pokémon: Cradily, Crobat or Steelix

Cradily is a dual Rock- and Grass-type Pokémon, and with a typing like that, players should be weary of bringing in Water-types, instead opting for Fighting- and Ice-types. Crobat is a Poison- and Flying-type, so bringing in Psychic- or Rock-types will probably yield the best results. Steelix, the final option for the second Pokémon is a Steel- and Ground-type Pokémon, so bringing a Fire- or Water-type Pokémon can handle it swiftly. Here is one recommendation for each of these Pokémon:

  • Cradily: Galarian Darmanitan - Ice Fang and Avalanche
  • Crobat: Rampardos - Smack Down and Rock Slide
  • Steelix: Blaziken - Fire Spin and Overheat

Third Pokémon: Armaldo, Charizard or Scizor

Armaldo is a Rock- and Bug-type Pokémon, so think about maybe bringing in a Rock-type Pokémon to take it out. Charizard, another potential option for Arlo to send out, is a Flying- and Fire-type Pokémon, so be aware of its quad weakness to Rock-type moves when choosing a Pokémon to send out. Scizor, being a Bug- and Steel-type Pokémon, has a four times weakness to Fire-type moves, so bringing a Fire-type Pokémon will definitely get it off the field quickly. Here are some potential Pokémon to consider bringing:

  • Armaldo: Rhyperior - Smack Down and Rock Wrecker
  • Charizard: Tyrantrum - Rock Throw and Stone Edge
  • Scizor: Charizard - Ember and Overheat
