Wondering about which server to play on in Tower of Fantasy? We've got you covered.
After initially launching in 2021 and finding success with gamers in China, ToF is now officially available worldwide.
As with any free-to-play, open-world MMOARPG, a major detail many will want to know is how the server system works, particularly with the intention of finding the most optimal one. Here's a breakdown of which server you should play on in Tower of Fantasy.
First off, since the game currently has no way to delete existing characters and saves, it's worth noting that choosing a server is especially important at the moment since players would need to create a new account with a new email address if they wanted to start fresh in a specific one.
Additionally, it's currently not possible to move one character over to a new server in ToF. Character data is saved to the server rather than the client, so choosing a new server means you'll need to start from the beginning.
Tower of Fantasy also doesn't feature any cross-server play. If you're looking to play with friends, make sure you coordinate which server to pick ahead of time.
As such, aside from simply joining the same server as those you know, as well as one in your region of course, it's generally advised to opt for those that are of "Smooth" status in order to avoid those pesky queue times.
All of the servers in ToF should be the same in terms of content, so this frame of thinking would likely land you in the best one in terms of performance.
Tower of Fantasy is available now on PC, iOS and Android.
